31 May 2014 - Northern Counties Cat Club and Durham County Cat Club All Breed Championship Joint Show

Inki attended the joint show and was awarded two 1sts, two Best of Breeds and two Challenge Certificates in her Open Classes qualifying her for the title of Champion Brightlite Inki Black and like her mum she achieved this in three straight shows. This makes her the second Russian Black Champion in the UK. Well done and congratulations "beautiful girl" and thank you to her three judges.

Catworld Magazine May 2014

May edition of Catworld magazine has photos of Cheska (Champion Sithee Madam Belladonna) and her aunt Poppy (Champion Catwo Biaty Pantera) on the centre page.

There is also a feature on page 14, written by Kate Kaye, Cheska's breeder, celebrating Cheska becoming the first Russian Black Champion and Poppy becoming the first Russian White Champion, with photos of Poppy's daughters, Cheska's daughter Inki and Cheska as a tiny kitten with her siblings and mum (Grand Champion and Premier Kremlinkatz Kohani Krystal).

22 March 2014 - Preston & Blackpool Cat Club All breed Championship Show

Inki (Brightlite Inki Black) attended her first show since the promotion of the Russian Blacks and Whites and won 1st, Best of Breed and a Challenge Certificate in her Open Class.

22 February 2014 - Coventry & Leicester Cat Club 52nd Championship Show

Champion Sithee Madam Belladonna (Cheska) won 1st, Best of Breed and her third Challenge Certificate in her Open Class making her the FIRST RUSSIAN BLACK CHAMPION in the UK and she achieved this in three straight shows! Many thanks to her judge Mrs H Marriott-Power.

A huge thank you to her breeder Catherine Kaye (Sithee Russians), for being so generous and entrusting her to us and for all the help and support along the way.

And finally, thanks Cheska, with your fabulous temperament you are a pleasure to live with and we're so very proud of what you've achieved in helping to promote the Russian Blacks and Whites throughout their progression. Not only are you the first Champion Russian Black, you're also the only Russian Black to qualify at all three stages............................ "Russian Tales" , the magazine of the Russian Blue Breeders Association, on page 21 features Cav's Overall Best Foreign Exhibit win and Cheska and Inki's IC Qualifications.

The article has unfortunately been credited to me but was in fact written by Melva Eccles, although the photo of Cav is one of ours!

9 November 2013 - Cheshire Area Cat Club All breed Championship Show

October 2013 - The GCCF has promoted Russian Blacks and Whites to Championship Status

Entire adult Russian Blacks and Russian Whites are now able to compete for Challenge Certificates at GCCF shows. The title of Champion will be granted to a cat winning three Challenge Certificates at three shows under three different Judges. Neutered adults can compete for the title of Premier.

15 September 2013 - 'Your Cat' magazine October edition

Cav's achievement at the Gwynedd show on 20th July has been featured on the 'Showtime' page of the October edition of 'Your Cat' magazine. Unfortunately they misspelt her name as Britelight Black Caviar but it is great that they mentioned her.

24 August 2013 - Teesside Cat Club All breed Championship Show

Cav (Brightlite Black Caviar) received 1st and Best of Breed in her Kitten Open Class.

20 July 2013 - Gwynedd Cat Club Championship Show

Cav (Brightlite Black Caviar) was awarded 1st and Best of Breed in her Open class and a "Red Card Day" by also winning 1st in all three side classes. She then went on to win Best Foreign Kitten and to top it all, made history in the UK by being the first Russian Black (or White) to win Overall Best Foreign Exhibit. All this at her first show and she wasn't five months old until the following day.

Many thanks to all the judges involved, including Helen Marriott-Power, Steve Parkin, Steve Crow and Kate Kaye. Wow, what a day.......thanks Cav!
